Putting the Our Manchester Principles into Practice

Manchester City Council has adopted a set of principles called the “Our Manchester Principles”, which is a long-term and ambitious attempt to change the way the Council and its partners carry out their work.

These principles are embedded into Manchester City Council’s largest grants programme, the “Our Manchester Grants Programme”.

Achieve Your Goals

The National Football Museum has developed a range of new courses aimed at helping people gain the skills they need to get into work, apply for jobs, and increase confidence. The courses use the theme of football as a way to learn and will focus on customer care, money management, maths, time management, reading and writing skills and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

We offer two types of courses which are free for Manchester residents.

Free and very practical and entertaining networking skills training session to help you become a more effective and confident networker.

We are delighted to welcome Will Kintish, UK networking authority and international speaker; see his bio below. In spite of him charging high fees for his work we are delighted that he has waived his fee to help our charity and all the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations we support.

Data protection law reform is coming with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) taking effect from 25 May 2018.

Data protection legislation covers everyone about whom you keep personal data. This includes employees, volunteers, service users, members, supporters and donors.

With a lot of information available via resources, toolkits, workshops this session is specifically for city of Manchester VCSE organisations to come and ask questions that you may have relating to implementing / reviewing practices and processes within your own organisations.

Free Safeguarding Children and Adults e-Learning Courses

Manchester Safeguarding Children Board and Manchester Safeguarding Adult Board have joined up with Virtual College's Safeguarding e-Academy to offer online training in a range of safeguarding topics.

Online courses are free to all our Partner agencies who work with children and / or their families, or adults in Manchester.

A charge of £25.00 per course will apply to private and profit making organisations.
