Spirit of Manchester Story Week November 2023 – Coming Home Stories
Are you a Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisation?
Would you like to share a story of your everyday activity supporting people experiencing homelessness, as part of the second 2023 Spirit of Manchester Story Week in November?
We are looking for 20 VCSE organisations to provide stories which we will share during the week of 27 November - 1 December.

In the latest newsletter, GM Poverty Action share the impact their Money Matters programme has had in its first year, and why they are now urging for a nationwide rollout of the scheme. There is an invite to the Challenge Poverty Week event on 16 October, as we come together to identify how we can tackle poverty locally.

Pathway Fund, a new Black and Global Majority-led social investment wholesaler, is collaborating with open innovation organisation, Do It Now Now (DiNN), to deliver a cutting-edge enterprise development programme supporting Black and Global Majority-led charities and social enterprises.
Six places in a different light
Greater Manchester to welcome new public art trail to promote mental health awareness this winter
Creative studio and multidisciplinary arts collective We are Willow, has collaborated with global art producer Wild in Art to deliver ‘Six Places In A Different Light’. A series of six striking installations across Greater Manchester to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing.
The project is funded and supported by the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership, Salford City Council, The University of Salford, LandsecU+I and Arts Council England.

NOMA Fund
The latest round of the NOMA Fund is now open for applications from local community groups. The NOMA Fund is offering awards of up to £1,000 to grassroots community groups working with young people aged between 11 and 25 years old.
Neighbourhood Health and Wellbeing Fund
The Neighbourhood Health and Wellbeing Fund – Manchester Local Care Organisation (City Centre, Miles Platting, Moston and Newton Heath) is now open for applications from VCSE organisations based in Manchester.
The Neighbourhood Health and Wellbeing Fund aims to make two awards of £13,800.
VCSE Workforce Development Project – HR support
A recent HR survey that was done as part of the VCSE workforce programme showed that there was an appetite for a shared HR service across the VCSE sector.
ICS Research Engagement Network programme
Research can create change for healthcare and help Integrated Care Systems to plan for healthier futures. Vocal are working with the voluntary sector and community voices across Greater Manchester to make research more inclusive for all by creating a community-led network that listens and responds to the local health priorities of different communities.
