A brand-new service has been launched that will make it easier for people in Greater Manchester to find and receive mental health support – anytime, day or night.
The service, Shout, allows people to simply and discreetly communicate with trained crisis volunteers by text message. The service is overseen by clinical supervisors.
The £50m fund will be available for grants of between £3,000 and £50,000.
It is available to organisations across the full breadth of heritage, including historic sites, industrial and maritime heritage, museums, libraries and archives, parks and gardens, landscapes and nature.

From March, the Psychological and Counselling Services will no longer be able to offer face to face appointments until further notice and in line with the national guidance around social distancing – a way to reduce close contact with someone who might have Coronavirus.
