This summer, The Proud Trust is encouraging young writing stars of the future to put pen to paper and enter its new ‘Transcriptions’ writing competition for trans/non-binary 11-19 year olds, with the chance to get their work published and win a share of a £400 cash prize. 
Young Manchester are delighted to partner with Manchester Community Safety Partnership to launch the Keeping Children and Young People Safe in Manchester grants. Grants of up to £25,000 are available for organisations in the VCSE sector who want to explore and evidence approaches to tackling violence which impacts on children and young people. 
Community organisations across England can now apply for grants of up to £35,000 to help young people have a say in how community spaces are managed. The Fund is expected to make up to eight grants, available for one year. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to re-apply for up to two years' further funding, to build on their learning and focus on sustaining their impact. 
This September, The Prince's Trust will be launching their Get Into Technology programme in Manchester - run in partnership with Amazon Web Services (part of their Re/Start initiative) and Generation. 
This free 12-week programme will provide training to young people aged 18 - 29 to become Cloud Operations Engineers, with a guaranteed interview with a tech employer at the end of the programme.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen's coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups. 
Monday 22 July 2019 marks 100 years (to the day) of the formation of Manchester and Salford Council of Social Service. Macc, Salford CVS and Gaddum have worked together to mark the occasion with a celebratory event at the People’s History Museum. We felt it is important to mark 100 years of social action across the twin cities of Salford and Manchester.
Greater Manchester’s Our Pass is the new bus pass that gives 16-18-year-olds the freedom to travel, work and learn. The pass provides free bus travel as well as discounts and free deals at certain retailers and sponsors.
