Get Life-Savvy!-Sessions – Disability and work – know your rights! – How to get support, and find work that is accessible and inclusive for you

Date & Time of Event:
19 February, 2019 (All day)
Venue:
Windrush Millennium Centre, 70 Alexandra Road, Moss Side, Manchester, M16 7WD

The workshops are offered at two different times - Thursday evening and Tuesday afternoon (starting on Tuesday 19 February, 1pm-3pm and Thursday 21 February, 6pm-8pm) but it will be the same workshop both times. You can attend either one, depending on your schedule.

In this workshop, Manchester Disabled People’s Project will talk about the employment rights of disabled people and support and adjustments you can get as a disabled employee, trainee, or applicant.

Manchester Disabled People’s Project will talk about job applications, and what you can do if you want to gain work experience while you are on out-of-work benefits.

Whether you are in work, applying for work, getting out-of-work benefits, or doing volunteer work – it is important to know your rights as a disabled person, so come along with your questions and share your experiences.

Let Manchester Disabled People’s Project know about your access requirements, and whether you require a BSL interpreter, a PA, or a taxi ride to the venue (for Manchester city residents).
