4 Apr 2013 - 16:19 by michelle.foster

The Adactus Neighbourhood Fund for 2013/14 has been launched with a total of £200,000 in grant funding available across the Group.

Adactus Housing are now looking for residents, community groups and voluntary organisations to submit bids for projects that will benefit people living throughout communities.

Applications for the fund, now in its fourth year, are judged by a panel of residents. Last year the fund provided healthy living sessions, improved communal gardens, funded community clean up days and provided diversionary activities for young people.

The amount of Neighbourhood Funding for each area is shown below:
• Chorley £50,000
• South Manchester and Trafford £39,500
• North Manchester £37,000
• Sefton £35,000
• Wigan & Leigh £20,000
• Preston, Morecambe & Lancaster £8,000
• Neston £6,000
• Cheshire £4,500

Mike Murphy, Regional Manager at Adactus, said “It’s great news that we are able run the scheme again. The money is available because of efficiency savings we have made as a Group. We have been able to deliver exciting projects in the past and are looking forward to doing the same this year.”
