Alexandra House – surplus furniture

22 Mar 2019 - 13:39 by michelle.foster

Manchester City Council (MCC) are in the process of decommissioning Alexandra House in Hulme. In accordance with the agreed MCC furniture retention and disposal policy MCC have identified some items of furniture which may be available to third sector groups and schools. The furniture is generally office chairs, desks, meeting chairs and tables all in used but good condition. Manchester City Council

MCC would like to invite groups to make an expression of interest for any available items which are available on a first come, first served basis. Items unfortunately cannot be reserved and will be available to the group which collects them first. Groups need to have submitted an expression of interest to: [email protected] in advance and explained who they are and what they will use the furniture for. The expression of interest does not need to be necessarily specific for the type/item of furniture as MCC cannot guarantee availability unfortunately.

MCC have planned two sessions at Alexandra House where they are inviting groups to view/collect the furniture. These are:
Wednesday 27 March 12pm - 4pm
Friday 29 March 9am - 12pm

Groups will need to make their own arrangements for handling/collection and will need to sign a receipt upon pick-up. The entrance for loading at Alexandra House is off Southcombe Walk.

There may be extra items available in addition to the examples given which will be available on the above days.
