Hill Dickinson Foundation – now open for applications

The Hill Dickinson Foundation is a fund administered and managed by the Community Foundation for Merseyside. Hill Dickinson is an international law firm which has been headquartered in Liverpool for over 200 years. Hill Dickinson

The Hill Dickinson Foundation aims to make a positive contribution to the communities in which the firm operates by supporting local grassroots organisations and projects.

Applicants should ensure they demonstrate how their proposed project meets the Hill Dickinson Foundation priorities below and beneficiaries should be from the Manchester area. 

Fund priorities: Priority will be given to local projects with a specific focus on health and wellbeing (particularly mental health), as well as those which help create diverse and inclusive communities by encouraging community cohesion and meeting local social need.

Examples of the sorts of projects that may be funded:
• Projects that cater for people with disabilities and special needs
• Peer mentoring projects that focus on improving mental health and wellbeing
• Sports clubs working with people who may not usually have access to healthy activities
• Activities for older people to reduce social isolation
• Arts and culture projects that bring different ages/generations together 
• Projects that break down barriers between different sectors of the community
• Community garden/growing projects that have health benefits
• Peer mentoring projects that focus on improving mental health and wellbeing
• Friendship/buddy schemes

How much is available: The maximum amount you can apply for is £2,500.  The total budget available for Manchester is £12,500

Which areas are covered: Manchester including Greater Manchester 

Any special criteria: The programme is aimed at small grassroots groups with an income level of under £200,000.
