Integrated Communities Innovation Fund

20 Jul 2018 - 11:11 by michelle.foster

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), in partnership with Sport England, has launched the new Integrated Communities Innovation Fund. The Fund will help drive forward proposals to tackle the key causes of poor integration set out in the Government’s Integrated Communities Strategy Green Paper published in March 2018, by offering support to projects who can demonstrate innovative approaches to tackle the barriers to integration and building integrated communities in England. The new Fund will build understanding about what works to support integration in different community contexts. The Ministry is committed to ensuring that projects supported through the Fund are evaluated in a consistent way, with the help of an independent evaluator chosen by MHCLG, so that each project can be robustly and transparently measured to identify the positive integration outcomes achieved – and share learning more widely.

The Integrated Communities Innovation Fund is open to applications from a wide range of organisations. Application for funding is a two-stage process. The first stage asks for short expressions of interest from applicants by 23:45 on Monday 20 August 2018. Following this, successful applicants will be asked to submit a full application at stage two.
