Do you want free training for your volunteers?

Manchester Volunteer Advice Project (MVAP) could deliver what you want

This course is suitable for any volunteers in roles working with the public

It has been developed to enable volunteers to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to carry out a range of roles.

Module 1 covers communication skills, helping people access information and services, advocacy, data protection, confidentiality, equal opportunities, awareness of values and attitudes, dealing with challenging situations and an overview of welfare benefits.

Module 2 covers welfare benefits, housing and debt

Volunteers can do both or one of the Modules.

MVAP is a partnership between the following local advice organisations: Centre Point, Cheetham Hill Advice Centre, Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, Manchester Mind and Manchester Refugee Support Network.
