Mentoring opportunities at One Million Mentors

One Million Mentors (1MM) has new mentoring opportunities. All mentoring will begin from September. One Million Mentors

The options are (more youth partners joining every week):

Xaverian College (A Level Law students), Rusholme
• Mentor for 1 hour per half term until Jan 2019
• Assist mentees to make decisions about furthering their studies and offer, where available, work place visits

Whalley Range High School (16-17 year old’s), Whalley Range
• Mentor for 1 hour per month for 8 months
• Mentors from a range of professions
• Share with students the skills they need to develop before progressing into the world of work or higher education.

The University of Law (18+ year old’s), Manchester
• Mentor for 1 hour per month for 9 months
• Mentors from a range of professions that would suit someone with a Law degree
• Help students consider alternative career pathways after finishing their Law degree

Manchester Communication Academy (14-16 year old’s), Harpurhey
• Mentor for 1 hour per month from Sept 2018 until April 2019
• Mentors from a range of professions and backgrounds
• Help provide advice and guidance on career and educational pathways post GCSE

UpRising Manchester (18+), Manchester
• Mentor for 1 hour per month for 6 months from July 2018
• Mentors from a range of sectors (Environment, Social Justice, Technology, Marketing, Creative Industries)
• Help improve personal development and growth, and increase access to networks, to mentee’s who have just completed a nine month Environmental Leadership Programme

Connell College (16-18 year old’s), Beswick
• Mentor for 1 hour per month from Sept 2018 until June 2019
• Mentors from a range of professions including, STEM, IT, Finance, Law
• Help provide advice and guidance on career and educational pathways post 6th form
