Think Local Act Personal are seeking case studies relating to people with mental health needs

7 Mar 2014 - 10:34 by michelle.foster

Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) are looking for case studies from providers, commissioners or ULOs showing what person centred support can look like within mental health services and across community based support.

As part of TLAP’s programme of extending Making it Real to people with mental health needs, they have been asked by NHS England to produce some materials along with National Voices – focussing on Making it Real ‘narratives’.

What TLAP need
TLAP need case studies, personal stories and blogs demonstrating what integrated and person centred support can look like both within mental health services and across community based support; examples of commissioning models that can lead to more person centred support and examples of innovation.

Who TLAP want to hear from
People who access (or need) mental health support, their carers and families
• User - led organisations and peer-led support networks
• Commissioners and providers of support, across health, public health, housing, education, transport, social care organisations
• Statutory organisations , third sector and social enterprises, community groups who work in the area of mental health and well-being
• Seldom heard groups: ethnic minority groups, lesbian gay and bisexual groups, people in the criminal justice system, asylum seekers and refugees, care-experienced young people, gypsies and travellers and people from rural communities

To contribute to this work, complete the attached proforma and email it to: [email protected] by Friday 14 March 2014, 5pm
