lgbtq! equality panelThe Greater Manchester LGBTQ+ Equality Panel is one of seven panels established by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to tackle inequality and injustice in the region. Its aim is to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people across the city region by championing LGBTQ+ inclusion, and ensuring that the interests of our diverse LGBTQ+ communities drive all aspects of running and planning for the future of Greater Manchester.

The panel is made up of LGBTQ+ volunteers from across Greater Manchester, all of whom represent the rich diversity of the city-regions LGBTQ+ community.

LGBT Foundation is proud to be facilitating the GMCA LGBTQ+ Equality Panel, re-establishing it on the ethos of community ownership and coproduction.

The work of the Panel aims to centre the lived experiences of marginalised communities across Greater Manchester. As such, the Panel is always keen to hear from members of Greater Manchester's LGBTQ+ community, particularly those who are affected by multiple forms of intersecting marginalisation such as disabled LGBTQ+ people and Queer, Transgender and Intersex People of Colour (QTIPOC).
