At 12.30pm today our Chief Executive, Mike Wild announced the organisations and volunteers that have been shortlisted for our Spirit of Manchester Awards 2017.

Our annual 'Spirit of Manchester' programme is a celebration of the work of thousands of voluntary organisations, community groups, charities and social enterprises in Manchester. We believe it's important to recognise, support and encourage volunteers and local voluntary action. Following this week's horrific attack on the Manchester Evening News Arena we believe it's more important than ever to celebrate the community spirit which is an essential part of this city.
