Welcome to part two of our Macc mini stories. Volunteering has been influential in helping to shape the career paths for a lot of the team here at Macc and we wanted to share them with you through our blog.
Last time we heard from Claire and next up we have Nigel Rose. Nigel is the Strategic Lead (Commissioning) at Macc and has been with us for 4 years. Nigel has a really varied and interesting volunteer history which spans over 30 years. check out Nigel's story below!
Nigel Rose:
Ancoats Dispensary Trust (ADT) is a grass roots community group dedicated to saving and restoring the Grade 11 Listed Ardwick and Ancoats Dispensary for the people of Manchester. 
A new NCVO report challenges government to ensure all future devolution agreements include standards of engagement and plans for voluntary sector involvement.
Small Charity Week Ebay Auction is taking place on 22 June 2017 to 2 July 2017. 
The Small Charity Week auction is hosted by the FSI to sell a range of outstanding items on behalf of the participating small charities to raise funds for their work.
Get your favourite National Lottery funded project the recognition it deserves. 
The National Lottery Awards are the annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects.
Winners receive a £3,000 prize for their project and star in a BBC One television show.
Edge Fund supports work run by and for communities facing discrimination and injustice. Edge Fund funds work carried out by individuals and grass-roots groups in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England that find it difficult to get funding elsewhere. They do not fund traditional charity work, instead they support activity that challenges abuses of power and aims to change society by bringing an end to the systems that cause injustice.
RECLAIM are at the planning stages of the festival and want to open it up to everyone from Moss Side to get involved to help plan the event. RECLAIM are looking for volunteers to get involved, share knowledge and skills to make the first ever Moss Side food festival a huge success. RECLAIM will be meeting regularly and are looking for people to get involved.
