Gathering Stories

Stories stir the imagination and connect people and organisations to each other. They are a powerful tool to increase the profile of and engagement with your charity. 

If you would like to build on your existing skills and think about new ways to tell stories, this course is for you.

This course is aimed at anyone in a Manchester voluntary and community sector group who would like to increase their skills and use of storytelling in their work. This could mean telling the story of your service users, volunteers or your organisation.

Learning objectives

  • To identify what makes a great story
  • Responsible storytelling – what do we need to think about?
  • Discuss a range of storytelling methods and interview types
  • To practice gathering stories and to plan how to use your new skills and knowledge
