Social value is the value that people place on the changes they experience in their lives.
This workshop is designed to help you develop a practical understanding of what social value means for your organisation.
The workshop will help you to
- Gain a greater understanding of what social impact is and how to measure it
- Explore, discuss and apply the most frequently used terms and ideas around social value
- Design your own roadmap to where to start on or continue your journey in creating more social value in your work and organisation
The workshop is open to anyone from a voluntary, private or public sector organisation who wants to improve the overall social impact of their organisation.
The workshop is a mixture of presentation, discussion and worksheets.
Refreshments will be provided however bring your own lunch.
About the trainer: The trainer for this workshop is Nigel Rose, who works as the Strategic Lead (commissioning) within Macc’s Policy and Influence Team. He has over 35 years’ experience of working and volunteering in the voluntary and community sector. His background includes community development work, advice work, community mental health support, volunteering management, campaigning, policy development, planning and senior management. He is a skilled and experienced trainer and the co-ordinator of Greater Manchester Social Value Network.
