Self Employment Adviser

Europia is a registered charity and community development organisation. They are committed to supporting and empowering European nationals who have come to live and work in Greater Manchester.

They are looking for an accountant or individual with a strong finance background to offer one-off support to their emerging Art Collective.

Europia Art Collective operates as part of Europia charity. It is made up of European ex-pat artists living and creating in Manchester. The collective supports each other in their creative growth and hopes to bring awareness of European traditions into the context of today’s social and political climate in the UK.

Some of the members of Europia Art Collective are at the start of their journey as freelance/self-employed artists and would benefit from some helpful advice on what the status of ‘self-employed/sole trader’ means for them in practical terms.

Europia are looking for a volunteer who has knowledge of accountancy and could provide a webinar to the group. This session would likely take the form of a 1-2hrs virtual session on such things as book-keeping, invoicing and self-assessment tax returns but this would be dependant on what content the volunteer thinks is most appropriate. There may also be the additional request for follow up sessions with artists.
