Writing and uploading an Employer Supported Volunteer opportunity

Volunteer Centre Manchester works with Manchester City Council and Manchester Health and Care Commissioning to match their employees, who get 3 days volunteer leave each year, to organisations who need support. This might be those ‘wish list’ tasks that never seem to get done such as web development, social media support, information systems management, bid writing or anything that needs dedicated skills or time that voluntary and community organisations might not have at their fingertips.

Macc also has the Skill givers project which is an employer supported volunteering project delivered in partnership with Macc and Salford CVS, working with organisations across both Manchester and Salford. The project links businesses with local voluntary and community groups, charities and social enterprises, who support their community to get active.

There is also a step-by-step guide to uploading that opportunity onto our system and making sure it goes on the MHCC and MCC platform.
