How you can get involved

Get Involved!

Would you like to raise awareness of your organisation? Celebrate your community and the work you do together? Recruit new supporters, volunteers and funds? If so, then we would love for you to hold an event as part of this year's Spirit of Manchester Festival!

To join in, all you need to do is put on an event, big or small, between 1-10 October 2017. This could be an event that you hold regularly or a special event for the occasion. The idea is simply to open your doors for a little while (perhaps at lunchtime or teatime) and put something on which introduces your organisation and the great activities and services you deliver.

Macc will provide you with a Spirit of Manchester Festival logo and offer support with promoting your event online and through our communication channels.

You could hold something simple like a support group session, an open day, a coffee morning or a bake off or even go a bit bigger with an art exhibition, a sports match, a fun fair/day or something a bit more creative. It’s entirely up to you, but whatever it is it should showcase the talent and creativity of your group and the people involved.

The idea is that these should all be small events on a ‘pass the hat’ basis asking people to donate to the charity or community group in return for the entertainment they’ve enjoyed.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further or have any queries regarding the festival then please visit our Facebook page or contact Cheryl on 0161 834 9823 or at [email protected]
