Prep Awareness Campaign July 2021

8 Jul 2021 - 14:40 by michelle.foster

pash partnershipPrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a HIV prevention gamechanger in supporting to get to zero new HIV transmissions by 2030 – a global ambition set out by UNAIDS.  Alongside other prevention methods including condoms, regular testing, PEP and U=U, PrEP equips communities with the tools to achieve the global target.

Right now, PrEP uptake is too low in women, trans and non-binary people, Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority groups and heterosexual men. You can help change this. Collectively, we need to promote access to address the health disparities in sexual health outcomes or these communities.

PrEP is a pill that protects against HIV. It keeps you HIV negative. It’s free, it works for everyone, and it’s available on the NHS.

Join The PaSH Partnership in amplifying PrEP awareness messages for these communities in the PrEP awareness campaign which launches 12 July 2021.

The videos were created by the Women and Other Groups subgroup of the PrEP Impact Trial’s community advisory board. A key activity of this subgroup, in conjunction with collaborating organisations and funded by an NHSE grant, has been to commission and co-produce a suite of community-led and community co-designed PrEP awareness videos advocating for PrEP for all.
