Our next venue’s discussion

We are hosting the next discussion space for VCSE organisations and groups to meet and discuss what organisations currently need from a venue as this may have changed during the course of the pandemic on Tuesday 14 September, 11am-12.30pm

This meeting is a space for VCSE organisations to discuss what you’re looking for from a venue, what challenges there may be to re-open venues and to find out what asks and offers are available from other VCSE organisations in Manchester.

The discussion will include:

  • Conversations around what type of premises your organisation is looking for-e.g. smaller office space as most of your staff work remotely
  • If you have a venue, office or meeting space currently available and could share these details
  • Interest in sharing spaces generally
  • Interest in a city centre hub or if your organisation has moved into a neighbourhood space
  • Conversations regarding an online resource to share venue asks and offers more quickly and easily

We would welcome examples from those who have had some recent venue challenges and any approaches you could share which could also benefit other organisations.

The meeting is open to any VCSE organisation working in Manchester. You don’t need to have attended previous meetings to attend this one. If you or someone from your organisation would like to attend or have any questions, please email: [email protected] for details and access information.

Spirit of Manchester Story Week 2021 – Breaking through barriers

spirit story

Are you a Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisation?
Would you like to share a story of your everyday activity, as part of the 2021 Spirit of Manchester Story Week in September?

We are looking for 20 VCSE organisations to share their stories during the week of 27 September - 1 October.  The theme this year is ‘Breaking through barriers’. Perhaps you have worked with someone to access the support they need or enabled marginalised voices to be heard. Have you brought people together or broken down barriers to increase service provision? These barriers could be pre-existing or extra ones created over the last year. If you would like to be part of this exciting project, please contact Helen at [email protected] or call 0161 834 9823.

Help us to get our online directory of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Manchester up to date

directory

We want to make sure everyone has access to up to date information about the support available from local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) organisations in Manchester – and, for those wishing to help, how they can support the work of local community organisations to ensure nobody is left behind during these difficult times.

We have repurposed our online directory as a free, open resource for pulling all this information together in one place so that local people, public sector partners and businesses can use it. This means that individuals can find what is open and what kinds of support are available. It also helps us at Macc understand what organisations need and how we can support our amazing VCSE colleagues in their continuing response to Covid-19.

Update or register your organisation on our online directory here
