Inspire 2022 is a youth-led, events-based social action programme which uses national events as a springboard for young people to design positive activities for their own communities, bridging community divides an giving young people a voice in a year of national celebration. Young people receive support, mentoring and guidance to produce a pitch for their project which is delivered to a board (made up of 50% young people) where they can apply for up to £5,000 funding to see their dream come to life.

Leathersellers have opened a new main charity grant funding round to support charities that, as their core purpose, are working to prevent the occurrence of and/or support recovery from Adverse Childhood Experiences. Applications received will be used for two rounds of consideration in autumn/winter 2022/23, and Leathersellers do not anticipate inviting further applications for this funding during the 22/23 Livery year (August-July). The Christmas Challenge is the UK's biggest digital match funding campaign. This year it will run from 29 November, 12pm to midday 6 December, 12pm. For Women and Girls charities in England and Scotland, with an annual income of less than £1m, the Big Give can act as a Pledger for your campaign and offer Pledge funding of up to £12,500. This will be topped up with funds from DCMS of up to £12,500. This means you can access up to £25,000 in match funds from the Big Give and DCMS. Deadline: 1 July, 5pm

The theme of the fund 2022 to 2025 is women’s reproductive wellbeing in the workplace. Linking in with the development of the new Women’s Health Strategy, this fund aims to support VCSE organisations who can provide a holistic support offer to assist women experiencing reproductive health issues (for example menopause, fertility problems, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, menstrual health and gynaecological conditions) to remain in, and return to, the workplace. Deadline: 5 August, 9am

Refugees abandon their homes to escape war and persecution. They have to seek safety elsewhere. The right to do so, set out in the 1951 Refugee Convention, has protected millions worldwide for decades. Today, in the UK, the anti-refugee laws are putting that basic right under threat. Unless we fight back, Britain’s days as a safe haven could be over. The pledge lays out what this campaign and its supporters are committed to: a compassionate approach that welcomes and supports refugees.

The Greater Manchester Poverty Action have launched the Greater Manchester Poverty Monitor 2022. The Poverty Monitor reveals the scale of poverty across Greater Manchester and covers ten themes: Child poverty, debt, deprivation, educational attainment, fuel and food insecurity, health, homelessness, housing, social security and the labour market. The Poverty Monitor is a unique resource for those seeking to tackle poverty in Greater Manchester.

Families Against Violence (FAV) is looking for a volunteer to support with monitoring and evaluation of their projects. In 2021/22, FAV secured funding from 23 different sources for 14 separate projects.  Monitoring and evaluation information is needed for each of the projects, tailored to the requirements of the individual funder.

Manchester Indian Film Festival is part of Europe's largest South Asian Film Festival along with London and Birmingham. The vibrancy of the program largely depends on the support of its committed, hardworking and fun volunteer team. Shortlisted volunteers will be allocated into various departments based on their skills, experiences and festival requirements. There is no short-selling the amount of work that goes into setting up a film festival, a lot of which was made much easier and a lot more fun thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers.

AXA and Business in the Community (BITC) are partnering to deliver fully funded Youth Mental Health First Aid Champion training, to small community organisations, working with young people in Manchester. Through AXA’s Head Coaches programme, BITC aim to support youth leaders working with small community-based organisations, with approx.50 employees or under, to develop a greater knowledge of common mental health issues.
