GMCVO is the voluntary sector support organisation for the Greater Manchester city region.
Working in partnership with the Greater Manchester BAME Network, and funded by the Connect Fund and the Peoples Postcode Lottery, The Connecting BAME Social Entrepreneurs project is to develop the GM BAME Social Enterprise Network and access marketing and communications input to create a brand and the key messages.
Based on the findings of the GMCVO Briefing Paper “Connecting BME Entrepreneurs to Social Investment May 2019” the purpose of the project is to:
Draw BAME entrepreneurs to a point of contact and information
Identify enterprise support such as hubs, networks and organisations that actively support BAME entrepreneurs and connect them
Make enterprise support organisations and social investors aware of the opportunity to engage BAME entrepreneurs
Develop a wide ranging BAME specific social enterprise network
