What is Volunteers’ Week?
Volunteers’ Week [1] is an annual event which takes place at the start of June. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK.
What is a Volunteering Surgery?
A Volunteering Surgery is an informal drop-in session for anybody wanting to know more about volunteering or social action - come and speak with active volunteers (surgeons) to hear their motivations and stories of volunteering.
If you feel inspired, members of the Volunteer Centre Manchester [2] team will also be on hand to provide information about volunteering opportunities and how you can get involved.
This is a FREE drop-in event, light refreshments and a (late) buffet lunch will be provided - booking is NOT required.
I’m an active Volunteer, how can I help the surgery?
We need surgeons to make our surgery work!
If you’re an active volunteer – or work with volunteers and would like to support the volunteering surgery please book onto this event by clicking HERE [3].
All volunteers will be provided with lunch and a certificate of thanks in recognition of your contribution.
For more information about the volunteering surgery, contact 0161 830 4770 or [email protected] [4].
