<p>Church Action on Poverty is a national membership organisation founded in 1982 as an ecumenical response to poverty Britain. it has over 1,200 individual and organisational members from all the Christain denominations and beyond. Our aims are: - To promote more sustainable livelihoods for people living in poverty in the UK through piloting new approaches, increase awareness about the problems faced by people in poverty andpromoting policy change. - To build partnerships between churches, people in poverty and others to work for long term change. - To be a vehicle through which the voices of people experiencing poverty can be heard nationally.</p>
