The Public Health Department are looking to commission an organisation or consortium to gather data and insights to help to increase their overall knowledge and understanding of Manchester’s residents of Caribbean heritage.

Following the successful launch of the first local group, in Glasgow, Fuel Poverty Action wants to develop a hub in Manchester.
Fuel Poverty Action are looking to engage a freelancer to help establish this hub, which will support residents of Manchester and Greater Manchester to take meaningful action against fuel poverty. As well as to provide some remote additional capacity to the Glasgow hub.

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. akt provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021).
When emergencies strike, local volunteer organisations play a crucial role in providing immediate assistance to affected communities.
