For the past 8 weeks, ex-military volunteers have been working hard to alleviate pressures placed on the local authority due to Covid-19 by delivering emergency food parcels to the most vulnerable across the city.
As normality returns, demand continues to rise. Walking with the Wounded is looking for volunteer drivers to help deliver emergency food parcels to those who need them in Manchester. Volunteers are needed 10:00 – 18:00, 7 days a week but volunteers will only be required for maximum of 3 hours within these times.
WWTW supports all who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities.
We welcome interest from all members of the community, including those that have not served in the armed forces. Volunteers will be working alongside WWTW Volunteers who are ex-military and their families.
