The Naturesave Trust

The theme is nature connection.

Fresh air and exercise have long been recommended as a way for many to feel better, physically and mentally, but a connection to nature can also have a profound impact on our ability to create positive action for climate change.

Studies show that a sense of psychological connectedness with the natural world has important benefits for global health because nature connection and pro-environmental behaviour are strongly correlated. It is estimated that around 16% of a population can trigger a social tipping point. The more connected people feel to nature, the more likely they are to take action to care for it.

The Naturesave Trust are looking for grant applications from charities, community groups, and organisations who are working to connect communities to nature through:

  • Arts and cultural activities
  • Community gardening
  • Green gyms
  • Eco anxiety and mental health
  • Training a community with green skills
  • Conservation volunteering
  • Urban nature programmes
  • Social prescribing
  • Access to nature
  • Community wildlife surveys
  • Nature mindfulness

Grants are awarded for UK based environmental projects from between £500 and £5,000, covering nature conservation, renewable energy and help to create more sustainable communities.
