Macc Webinar: Bid Writing - 2 sessions

Bid Writing is an essential skill when it comes to securing funding for your organisation. This webinar is ideal for staff or volunteers who are responsible for writing funding applications. 

Participants must be from voluntary, community or social enterprise organisations within the city of Manchester. 

What can I expect?

This training is being delivered across two parts. Each workshop will be a combination of presentation, group discussion and practical work. It is useful to come to this session with a particular project in mind.

Part One: 10am - 12pm Thursday 10 March 2022

Part One will cover understanding funders' eligibility criteria and common reasons for success or rejection. You will unpick the four most common questions asked in all funding applications and break down how to answer them through our 3 whats and a why approach.

Part Two: 10am - 12pm Thursday 17 March 2022

Part Two will include top tips on how to make your funding application stand out and look at bids from a funders' perspective. You will also learn about full cost recovery, the importance of covering overheads when building a project budget and how to calculate this.

Please note that this is a two-part training course - participants must attend both sessions. .
