Description of opportunity:

 

Growing Together is a registered charity based in Levenshulme who run therapeutic gardening sessions for refugees and asylum seekers.

We are looking for volunteers to translate our documents into the following languages;

  • Arabic
  • Shona
  • Hausa
  • Kinyarwanda
  • Lingala
  • Tigrinya
  • Kiswahiri
  • Kirundi

 

This will help reduce current barriers to asylum seekers and refugees getting involved and will help make participation in the project a richer experience for those who may struggle with reading in English.

Volunteers should be fluent in both English and one of the languages requested and comfortable translating documents such as short forms and a 'welcome back' document with COVID-19 guidelines.
