Plant Creche Volunteers at RHS Tatton Flower Show

What we do

Canine Partners is a registered charity that transforms the lives of people with physical disabilities by partnering them with assistance dogs. Our amazing dogs bring a greater independence and quality of life to their partners, offering security, companionship, and practical help with everyday household tasks. These life-changing dogs also provide psychological and social benefits including increased independence, confidence, social interaction and self-esteem. We rely on donations and legacies to fund the creation of our life-transforming partnerships.

Volunteer for us

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity. There are many ways you can help us by looking after our puppies, becoming a speaker, donating your professional skills, or starting a community group.

We are running the plant crèche at the RHS Tatton Flower Show.

Visitors bring their plants to us and we look after them. There’s an admin process involved which is taking a raffle ticket and attaching it to the plant, giving the supporter the other ticket. They then come back later to collect their plant, and there is a suggested donation of £2 and all donations will go to Canine Partners.

Things that would help you in taking on this role (but not essential)

Great communication skills.

Confidence to talk to strangers.

Care for others property.

An understanding of Canine Partners and what we do ahead of the event.

Good fitness level. This is a very physically demanding role. There’s a lot of walking placing and retrieving plants from storage. You will be on your feet the whole time.

Dates / Times

The dates are Wednesday 21^st to Sunday 25^th July.

AM slot 10am to 1.30pm

PM slot 1.30pm to 5pm

Other things you need to know

Volunteers will all be offered free access to the RHS Tatton Flower Show.

We provide water and sweet treats, but you will need to bring your own lunch and snacks.

Out of pocket expenses are NOT reimbursed for this volunteering opportunity.
