Description of opportunity:

The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside are part of the Wildlife Trusts movement, the UK's leading conservation charity dedicated to all wildlife. We are your local charity, working hard to improve your local area for wildlife and for you.

We are looking for volunteers to join our My Wild City team to help put nature back into recovery in Manchester. Our vision is for everyone living, working and studying in Manchester to help transform workplaces, gardens and our open spaces into a city-wide nature reserve. Together we can create a nature-rich city that puts wildlife right on our doorsteps, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife every day.

Nature needs to recover, it needs action now, you can help city wildlife to thrive. Practical volunteering sessions at Painswick Park Meadow, Wythenshawe will involve cutting back vegetation to help manage the meadow's wildflowers. Our October volunteering sessions will take place on Tuesday's, between 10-1pm at Painswick Park Meadow, Wythenshawe with sessions on the 5th, 12th and 19th October.

All tools and equipment provided, no experience necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and we'll provide the rest.
