Description of opportunity:

The North West Air Ambulance Charity provides enhanced pre-hospital care to the most critically ill & injured patients across the North West.

Volunteers are at the heart of our charity - without volunteer support we simply wouldn’t exist. We are looking for tin collection volunteers in the Manchester area.

What can I get involved with
Static collection tins are located throughout Manchester in local businesses and are a significant sustainable source of funds for the charity. We are looking for volunteers to assist with collecting tins from shops and businesses.

When and where can I volunteer
We have collection tins located across the area and will discuss specific postcode areas with you when you apply to volunteer.

What do we need from you?

  • A friendly, engaging attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of your local area is an advantage
  • Ability to drive and access to a car an advantage. However, some routes can be local and completed on foot
  • Training will be provided for technical aspects of the role

Please note

  • This is a volunteering role, not paid employment
  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over
  • Volunteer travel costs are reimbursed in line with the charity's general expenses policy
