Description of opportunity:

Manchester Pride campaigns for the advancement of LGBTQ+ equality; celebrates LGBTQ+ life and creates opportunities that engage LGBTQ+ people so that they can thrive.

Manchester Pride Festival 2021 takes place from 27th - 30th August. It's difficult to express how much we adore our volunteers, and with their invaluable help, we're able to do the things we do. From collecting donations at the Festival, to marshalling the Parade, to volunteering at our glamorous Spring Benefit - volunteering with us is exciting and so rewarding! It’s a great way to make new friends and feel part of a community, and we have plenty of amazing perks to offer you in return for your time.

We have a brand new opportunity for this year's festival in Volunteer Supervisor. We're looking for fun, friendly people with previous experience of working at festivals. The volunteer supervisors will support the volunteer manager to ensure the festival runs smoothly and that all volunteers are in the right place at the right time.

You will gain exclusive access to the festival and will be working across all of our sites to help volunteers and members of the public to feel safe, happy and help to celebrate Manchester Pride.

You will be working directly with teams of volunteers to ensure they are happy and confident performing their duties, assisting with staging, set and logistics and will have a great oversight of how the festival is coordinated. This role is ideal for anyone studying Event Management or wanting a better understanding of how things work behind the scenes.

To volunteer, you must be 16+.
