Description of opportunity:

Manchester Pride campaigns for the advancement of LGBTQ+ equality; celebrates LGBTQ+ life and creates opportunities that engage LGBTQ+ people so that they can thrive.

Manchester Pride Festival 2021 takes place from 27th - 30th August. It's difficult to express how much we adore our volunteers, and with their invaluable help, we're able to do the things we do. From collecting donations at the Festival, to marshalling the Parade, to volunteering at our glamorous Spring Benefit - volunteering with us is exciting and so rewarding! It’s a great way to make new friends and feel part of a community, and we have plenty of amazing perks to offer you in return for your time.

As a Steward you will be right hand helpers to our Events team, making sure the festival runs smoothly. Duties will include everything from moving set and staging to helping with artists and helping to set up venues. This varied and exciting role will place you in the heart of the festival as you’ll help with the smooth running of the entire fesitval and guiding people between our three sites: MCR Pride Live, the Gay Village and Superbia.

With this role you’ll get access to all parts of the festival and have the chance to enjoy Manchester Pride in a completely exclusive way!

We ask you to do two shifts over the four days of the festival. Each shift is four hours long. Previous festival experience would be good but not essential.

To volunteer, you must be 16+.
