Who we are:
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the charity that saves lives at sea. Alongside our lifeboat crews and lifeguards, we also work to prevent emergencies before they happen. Our Water Safety team engages with communities to reduce risks around rivers, lakes, canals, reservoirs, and the sea—helping people enjoy the water safely.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking friendly, motivated volunteers who want to make a difference in their community. No specialist knowledge is required—just a willingness to learn, connect with people, and share clear safety messages. Training and ongoing support are provided.
What would you be doing as a volunteer?
-
Sharing life-saving advice with members of the public
-
Identifying local risks and helping reduce preventable incidents
-
Working with local organisations to spread safety messages
-
Representing the RNLI in your community
Times for the opportunity:
Flexible commitment, with regular engagement encouraged. Training is provided.
