Volunteers' Week Fair (Friday 2 June, 11am - 3pm)
Thinking about volunteering and want to know more?
Join Volunteer Centre Manchester and a host of Volunteer-Involving Organisations this Volunteers' Week for a Volunteering Fair:
- explore a wide range of volunteering opportunities
- access guidance and information about volunteering
- get involved!
Places are now closed for stallholders.
If you would like to attend to find out about volunteering, head down to Central Library on the day! Registration isn't necessary, but you can sign up on Eventbrite to let us know you're coming! We will also be updating the page nearer the time with a list of organisations who will be attending.
We have also put together a flyer to promote the fair. Please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested!
Recruiting and Retaining Volunteers (Tuesday 6 June, 10am - 12.30pm)
This webinar, for organisations, will have interactive and discussion-based elements covering recruiting, retaining and the reward and recognition of volunteers and will be delivered on Zoom.
This webinar will broadly cover:
- Different methods of recruitment
- How and why data and research on volunteering can influence recruitment and retention
- Developing a volunteering programme
- Reward and recognition for volunteers
Discover Kooth and Qwell (Wednesday 7 June, 10.30am - 11.30am)
Kooth.com and Qwell.io are free, safe and anonymous sites that offer confidential support to young people and adults across Greater Manchester via community spaces, self-help tools and access to online counselling.
Kooth is available for age ranges 10-25. Qwell is available for ages 26+.
Join us for a brief introduction to Kooth.com, showing the range of support features available on Kooth and Qwell, including how to sign up and access counselling support and signposting. This session includes safeguarding information and a Q&A, and will be delivered on Zoom.
