MACC is on the move!
2012 is set to be a year of significant change for MACC. As we write this we are packing up our belongings ready to move into our new home. As you read this the team at MACC are probably taking it in turns to shift boxes and files into our new offices. These are still in the same building: we’re only moving upstairs to the third floor of Swan Buildings. After nearly 20 years in our ground floor offices we have a lot of boxes to move!

In order to accommodate our new work we’ve taken the decision to move out of our existing rooms and into a larger space. This is a cost-effective step which will enable us to increase for relatively little investment what we can offer to other groups in terms of hot-desking and meeting rooms and sharing space with partner organisations. We’ll be releasing more details of this once the paintwork is dry and we’ve completed the move. Above all, this is a hub for the voluntary sector in the city centre: local groups will always be welcome here!

The move will take place early December with (hopefully) very little disruption for people we work with but please do bear with us. Our phone numbers and contact details will all stay the same but we will be on the 3rd floor.

Opening times over Christmas
MACC and the Manchester Community Central service will be closed between Christmas and New Year.

• We will be closing on Friday 23rd December 2011 at 2pm
• We will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2012 at 9am

During that time you can email us on [email protected] or leave a short message on our answer phone on 0333 321 3021. We will respond to messages in the New Year.

Don’t forget there are lots of resources on our website www.manchestercommunitycentral.org.

2011 has been a tough year for many of us in the voluntary and community sector and for the people we work with. But it’s important to remember there’s still a fantastic amount of work being done by the sector in local communities in Manchester: it’s a good time to celebrate how much difference that makes to people’s lives. The holiday season can be a busy time for some groups and people with carer responsibilities but all of us at MACC would like to wish you a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

If you do not wish to be on our mailing lists, or if you would like to talk to us about being in our next “bundle” please contact us on either [email protected] or 0333 321 3021.
