Blakemore is marking its centenary with a 1917 Heritage Grants Scheme to support good causes across its trading area. 
This year, the company’s charitable trust, the Blakemore Foundation, will be awarding a number of one-off community grants worth £1,917 each to good causes across England and Wales.
Ofcom has been tasked by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) with administering the Fund. DCMS provides up to £400,000 per annum for the Fund. Funding is available to commission a youth organisation to work creatively (using art, drama, digital content, storytelling) with a group of young people to develop and lead their own debate about the impact of poverty, and devise solutions to reduce generational inequality.
