Manchester Community Central recently delivered support packages tailored to the following Manchester City Council funding programmes.

• Manchester Youth Fund and Play Fund
• Manchester Equalities Funding programme
• Community Association Funding programme

The Hilden Charitable Fund - Summer Play Schemes 2013

The Hilden Charitable Fund has allocated a small budget to help community groups run summer play schemes for disadvantaged communities. Some priority will be given to projects which show they are inclusive of children from refugee families, and show BME involvement.

Grants awarded range from £500 to £1,500.

What will be funded:
• Projects for children aged 5 to 18 years
• Locally based schemes lasting from 2 to 6 weeks
• Schemes with strong volunteer support

Third Sector Excellence Awards 2013

The Awards aim to reward examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success.

All UK-based voluntary organisations – registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and campaigning groups - are eligible to enter.

Entries must cover work carried out during the period 1 May 2012 to 30 April 2013

The Adactus Neighbourhood Fund 2013/14

The Adactus Neighbourhood Fund for 2013/14 has been launched with a total of £200,000 in grant funding available across the Group.

Adactus Housing are now looking for residents, community groups and voluntary organisations to submit bids for projects that will benefit people living throughout communities.

Applications for the fund, now in its fourth year, are judged by a panel of residents. Last year the fund provided healthy living sessions, improved communal gardens, funded community clean up days and provided diversionary activities for young people.

Support from VYM and Manchester Community Central post Youth Fund Commissioning

In partnership with GMP Safer Schools Partnership Voluntary Youth Manchester (VYM) will be offering a ‘back to basics’ programme covering all aspects of project and organisational development needed to enable organisations to be able submit effective funding applications to any and all funding bodies.

We Love MCR Charity Grants

Applications are invited from Manchester based Charities, Organisations and Others to the ‘We Love MCR Charity’, the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust.

The Charity was set up as a Trust to distribute funds “for Charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the City of Manchester as the Trustees shall think fit”.

The Charity’s primary aim is to improve the lives and life chances of Manchester People. Help develop stronger communities by encouraging more citizens to be active in working together to strengthen their community.

The Big Lottery Fund and ITV are looking for new projects that will improve local places and the lives of people in your community.

In November 2013 ITV regional news will feature two great project ideas in each region each night for three nights, competing for viewers’ phone votes. At stake is up to £50,000 from the Big Lottery Fund.
