This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in supporting two grant programmes, Community First, a national scheme funded by the Cabinet Office and managed by the Community Development Foundation and Reducing Social Isolation in Older People on behalf of the three Manchester Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Community First
This role will involve providing support to Community First panels in a number of wards across Manchester. This will involve supporting voluntary and community sector organisations in adopting and delivering the role of panel partner, facilitating peer support meetings with panel members across the city, working with the panels to take an asset based approach and mentoring and supporting panel members to become active local citizens.
Reducing Social Isolation
This project will work with the capacity building team to advise groups how to apply, maintain all the programme administration and events coordination and liaise with the programme evaluation partner to identify learning, success stories and recommendations arising from the programme.
