The Windrush Day Grant Scheme is part of the Government's work to create more resilient communities, where different religions, cultures and opinions are celebrated, underpinned by a shared set of values that champion tolerance, freedom and equality of opportunity. There is a total funding pot of £500,000, with the following grants available: Tier 1: smaller projects between £5,000 and £25,000. Tier 2: larger projects between £25,000 and £50,000. Deadline: 18 March

£465,000 is available through small grants to LGBT+ groups and organisations who are community-led and whose primary focus is one of these 5 priority targeted areas: Trans and Non-Binary people; Those facing racial injustice; D/deaf and/or Disabled people; Older people; and Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans+ Women. Grants will be available for organisational running costs, projects and organisational / leadership development and can range from £100 - £25,000. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 30 October.

Following a period of closure to review its grants processes, the Foundation has reopened its Small and Large Grants applications on a rolling basis. This announcement relates to grants in two main areas: Creating the best start in life for disadvantaged children and young people; and Reducing isolation and loneliness for older people. The Foundation offers large grants starting from £10,000 up to around £60,000, and small grants of between £1,000 and £5,000. Applications are now accepted at any time.

The Workplace Charging Scheme is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations. Workplaces can apply now for vouchers using the Workplace Charging Scheme.

The Prince's Trust and Vodafone partnership are supplying SIM cards that will support young people in Greater Manchester to stay connected and help them progress into employment, education or training. The SIMs contain 20GB of mobile data, unlimited calls and texts every month for six months. To be eligible the young person must be: Not in education, training, or employment; Aged 18-25; Living in Greater Manchester.

Sow the City CIC is providing an exciting new NHS England funded Green Social Prescribing service for the Manchester area. Sow the City are now taking referrals for people to attend sessions this spring. The Nature for Health service is aimed at adults experiencing mental ill health and other related conditions. All participants will get support from a Link Worker and attend six free weekly two hour gardening for wellbeing sessions at one of seven fabulous community gardens across the City of Manchester.

Dance Consortia North West (DCNW) invites North West dance artists and organisations to create or develop work which explores the future of dance. In this second round of commissioned Dance Labs, showcase events and knowledge-sharing, DCNW are supporting the future of dance, to get more people dancing from more backgrounds in more dance styles. This survey and learning tool, is to be completed by any organisation based in the North-West that sees themselves as a provider of movement based activities, sport or physical exercise opportunities, delivered to their members, service users and community (e.g. dancing, football, gardening, exercise classes, walking and so on). Your Guide to Contraception is a comprehensive booklet designed to reflect Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Women's, information needs, as access to information on contraception is key to support women make positive choices about their sexual health and reduce health inequalities. The booklet was developed taking into consideration the beliefs, concerns, cultural and religious perspectives of BAME women explored in different focus groups. You can access Your Guide to Contraception in three different languages, English, French and Arabic.

Charity Digital have sent out information to remind organisations signed up to Microsoft’s donations programme that action is required to guarantee access to Microsoft On-Premise licenses. The Microsoft donation programme is ending from 25 March. If your organisation requires these, it is recommended that you maximise your donated licenses until you've exhausted your cycle allowance.
