Manchester Moving Community Investment Fund

**THIS FUND IS NOW CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS**

We’re running a second round of grant applications for the Manchester Moving Community Investment Fund. £32,000 is available to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations as grants of £1,000, £2,000 and £3,000.

To be considered by this programme the project proposal contained within your application form must:

  • Specify the sports or other physical activities to be delivered
  • Aim to work in at least one (but no more than three) of the four areas of Manchester listed below
  • Work with at least one (but no more than three) of the four defined groups of people listed below
  • Provide an estimated number of people that you hope to reach
  • Include a timetabled breakdown of the costs needed to deliver your project
  • Aim to be fully-completed and to have reported by December 2022


Amongst four defined groups of people in four specific areas of Manchester this funding seeks to increase involvement in sport and other physical activity, inspiring and encouraging everyone to lead more active and healthier lifestyles:

The four people-groups:

  1. Children and young people aged 5-18 (in out-of-school settings)
  2. People out of work and people at risk of becoming workless
  3. People aged 40-60 with, or at risk of, long term health conditions: specifically, cancer, cardiovascular disease and respiratory disorders
  4. People with learning disabilities

Deadline: 12 noon (midday) on Tuesday 14 June 2022

All applicants will be notified of the panel’s decisions no later than Monday 27 June 2022. Upon completion of standard due diligence checks, approved funding will be paid out to successful applicants ASAP thereafter.

Grant holders will then have until 30 November 2022 (around five months) in which to complete their activities with each organisation to submit an end of project monitoring form during December.
