MCRVIP

MCRVIP is Manchester City Council’s volunteering programme and is currently focused on recruiting volunteers for public service providers who want to involve volunteers in their COVID-19 recovery response.

COVID-19 has been the cause of the biggest disruption to social and economic life most of us will have ever experienced. Public sector priorities have changed almost overnight to focus on keeping as many people as possible safe from the virus. The unprecedented measures needed to do this are having a huge impact on the residents and communities of Manchester and we know that many public services are directly involved in coordinating the emergency or immediate responses needed at a local and city wide level. From getting grants to businesses, and food and medicines to people; from keeping empty properties secure to organising parking for medical workers, public services are doing what they do best - working in partnership with communities, solving problems and making a difference.

Register with MCRVIP

Volunteers who register on MCRVIP can apply to volunteer with any of the live opportunities on the system (photo ID and proof of address will be required from all volunteers). Opportunity Providers will contact volunteers to discuss applications, conduct an induction and to find out more about the skills you have and the requirements for the service.

They have already added many opportunities that people can get involved with to help with the covid-19 response in Manchester and will be adding many more, so keep checking back.
