CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Manchester Services

A dedicated Criminal Records Bureau checking service for Manchester’s voluntary sector

Volunteer Centre Manchester and CRB Manchester are working in partnership to support Manchester’s community and volunteering groups. If your volunteers are required to have a criminal record check (CRB) before starting their volunteering then we have a great offer for you.

In addition to this you will get access to discounted CRB checks for your paid staff, access to training and advice on safe recruitment, advice on conviction disclosure and expert CRB guidance.

Who is eligible for a CRB check?
View the latest details on which posts or sectors are entitled to request checks on the Home Office's website.

The CRB does not check whether an applicant is permitted to work within the United Kingdom. The employer has liability for ensuring that the person they intend to employ does not have any restriction on their ability to take up employment within the UK.

For more information on the rules surrounding working in the UK go to the UK Borders Agency website.

What types of disclosure are there?
