Funding bulletin May 2017

Information for the bulletin is compiled from a number of sources including Grantfinder, GMCVO (Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Organisations) and direct from funders themselves. It showcases just a few of the hundreds of funding opportunities available for local community, voluntary and faith organisations.

This bulletin is produced by a partnership of local support and development agencies across Greater Manchester.

GM Mayoral Election - invited candidates share their views and pledges with the GM Older Peoples Network

Greater Manchester is on countdown to elect their first ever mayor. As the hustings come to a close, we can reflect on the pledges and views that have been shared by candidates to win votes on Thursday 4th May. To see some of the candidates in action, here are three short films made at the recent Older Peoples Greater Manchester Network event, featuring invited candidates: Sean Anstee, Conservative; Jane Brophy, Liberal Democrats; Andy Burnham, Labour; and Will Paterson, Green Party.

Greater Manchester's on countdown to elect their first ever mayor. As the hustings come to a close we can reflect on the pledges and views have been shared by candidates at hustings designed to win votes on Thursday 4th May. To see some of the candidates in-action, here are three short films made at the recent Older Peoples Greater Manchester Network event, featuring invited candidates: Sean Anstee, Conservative; Jane Brophy, Liberal Democrats; Andy Burnham, Labour; and Will Paterson, Greens; responses to questions from the audience on homes, transport, health and social care.

People's Plan for Greater Manchester Published

Following the launch of the People's Plan in October, over a thousand people throughout Greater Manchester have been involved in this initiative and a report of their findings has now been published.

Greater Manchester is undergoing significant change with new devolved powers, an upcoming mayoral election and major changes to health and social care commissioning. The aim of the People's Plan is to provide an opportunity for local people and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to have a meaningful say in shaping the future of Greater Manchester.

Cash 4 Clubs - Deadline 26 May 2017

The programme aims to provide community sports clubs in the UK with much needed funds. Financial assistance is available for sports clubs throughout the UK to improve facilities, buy new kit and equipment, and increase sporting opportunities. Funding can be requested for anything that will add to the sustainability and effectiveness of the sports club, including buying new equipment, improving facilities or helping members to gain coaching qualifications.

Holocaust Memorial exhibition comes to Manchester
