Live Well Lives – online monthly interactive webinars that bring GM's movement for community-led health and wellbeing to life.
The work of local grassroots organisations and community groups plays a crucial yet often overlooked role in homelessness prevention. Addressing key issues around food insecurity, mental health and finances through creating a sense of belonging and connection can provide individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage with an important safety net before they reach the crisis point of experiencing homelessness.
Discover and hear how community driven initiatives are effectively preventing homelessness through early intervention, support and community engagement. The event will be asking questions around:
- When does homelessness prevention work begin?
- What does it mean to be working in a way that prevents homelessness?
- How can creating community contribute to longer term homelessness prevention?
- Who are the often-overlooked organisations in the community working to prevent homelessness?
