Feed My City Volunteer Drivers

We believe that every human being has the right to have a hot meal and this should NOT be dependent on them having money. We are a small group of volunteers who have come together to help feed people, who are need of a hot meal.  This may include people in financial difficulty, in work poverty, homeless or anyone about to come homeless.

We operate from a fully equipped mobile van, where the food is prepared, served at several different locations around the Greater Manchester Area. Our aim is to provide simple, free vegetarian nourishing food to those who need it. 

We are looking for volunteers able to give a long-term commitment with a regular weekly shift e.g. every Monday etc. Shifts are available Monday-Saturday. When registering, please state your preferred day. 
 

Volunteers are expected to:

• Be aged 18 or over with a full, clean driver's license
• Have an interest in Feed My City's work and our values
• Be physically mobile enough to move food parcels in and out of your car
• Have good communication skills
• Give a regular, long-term commitment 
• Be reliable and and available to collect food parcels on your designated day from YHA Manchester Hostel and deliver to locations across Manchester.

Please note, we are unable to offer any expenses for this role.
