Description of opportunity:

Are you interested in making a real difference in the lives of those affected by crime? Are you someone who is able to keep an open mind and good at dealing with people from all walks of life?

You will undertake 2 day training which is nationally accredited and includes simulated role plays. Regular team meetings will provide the opportunity to discuss real-life cases to encourage and develop good practice and provide support.

We ask that applicants endeavour to commit to this role for a minimum of 9 months and be available for at least 6 hours per month, and successfully complete a DBS check as required.

In return, we’ll ensure you have the opportunity to volunteer flexible hours and the chance to see the impact of restorative justice in your community. Access to a car is desirable to attend meetings with service users and to a computer device for note taking and email communication.  All preparatory work can be undertaken from home.

Desirable Qualities

A good listener who is able to remain calm under pressure; a strong and compassionate communicator; and someone who can motivate others.

If this role interests you please get in touch.
